BAFTA 2022: Science fantasy film ‘Dune’ and ‘dark thriller’the power of the dog‘ Was leading the race for the BAFTA Award. The BAFTA Awards were held virtually in 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. Benedict Cumberbatch and Lady Gaga graced the red carpet at the award function held at the Royal Albert Hall in London this year. Hollywood actress Rebel Wilson hosted the ceremony.

The ‘British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA)’ grand event took place late on Sunday night. Denis Villeneuve’s Dune, starring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, had the most nominations in 11 sections. Among these were the Best Film, Best Cinematography and Best Original Score sections. At the same time, Benedict Cumberbatch’s ‘The Power of the Dog’ won the Best Film Award.
