Patna District Education Officer Amit Kumar has issued instructions that primary to higher secondary schools in the district will now start from June 15, but in view of the scorching heat, the DEO has been instructed to start only morning classes. This means that the school will start at 6.30 am as before and classes will continue till 10.45 am.
At the same time, mid-day meal will not be served in the middle, but children will be given mid-day meal from 10.45 pm. The decision to change the school’s schedule was to be taken on Monday, as classes were to be held during the day due to the possibility of rain, such orders have been issued to all the school managements. The DEO said that surprise inspection of the school will be done from time to time and emphasis will be given to increase the attendance of the children. In Jamui too, schools will start in the morning in the next one week. DM Avnish Kumar Singh has issued instructions to run the school from 6.30 am to 11.30 am in view of the scorching heat.
