‘Broken neck while diving in the pool, also turned out to be corona positive’
Ali Simpson wrote in the post, ‘Sometimes life takes a big turn in the blink of an eye. 2022 did not start well for me. One broke my neck and secondly I also became Kovid positive. In short, I dived into the low depth swimming pool and my head hit the surface. It’s a New Year’s thing. I got X-rays, CT-scan and MRI done, which showed that I had two fractures in my neck. I was put in an ambulance and sent to the hospital, where a neurosurgeon is looking after me.
Ali to wear neck brace 24/7 for 4 months
Ali Simpson further wrote, ‘Turned out that no surgery is needed immediately. I was sent back home with a very hard neck brace. I have to wear this neck brace 24/7 for the next 4 months. Hopefully my neck will heal on its own. I am lucky that I am alive. My spinal cord survived. But the way I look at it and when it comes to the happy and healthy life ahead of me, these 4 months are like a drop in the ocean. You can guess how much I have been in tears. How much have I cried? I am thanking every angel. It would go short to say that I have found a new life. Will always be thankful that it was not worse.
