Actually, a huge amount has to be sent to the accounts of these graduates. And after June 15, the government will send money through DBT to their bank accounts to buy books for children up to class 8. At present, Asangba Chuba Aao, State Project Director of Bihar Education Project Council has directed all the districts to register 100% of the children registered on the Medhasoft portal by June 15.
At present, the schools of Bihar have summer vacations. And as long as the book purchase money goes into the account, the schools will start. Let us tell you that one crore 34 lakh children registered in the current academic session will be sent money in their bank accounts to buy books. And for this, 416 crore 23 lakh rupees have been provided by the education department to all the districts of the state. We would like to inform you that data entry of children registered on Medhasoft Portal is being done so that the exact location of the dropped children can be ascertained.
At the same time, Director Asangba Chuba Aao has directed all the District Program Officers to verify the data of the children on the portal so that the eligible children can directly access the amount in their bank accounts. At the same time, Rs 50 crore has been released by the education department to encourage 20,000 graduates in the current financial year 2022-23. I would like to inform you that this amount has been made available to the students under the Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana. There is a total budgetary provision of Rs 250 crore in this scheme.
