IPL 2023 is likely to be the last IPL for Dhoni. The 41-year-old cricketer has featured in all the 15 editions of the IPL till date and has won the title on four occasions as CSK captain. Last year, he had resigned from the role of captain before the start of the IPL, but later took up the responsibility when Ravindra Jadeja stepped down from the role to focus on his batting and bowling.

Let us tell you that no other franchise has ever experienced the following like CSK. This is simply because not all teams are Chennai Super Kings, and not all teams have a face like Dhoni. Despite no official announcement yet, CSK supporters are looking forward to this as the final season of their “Thala”.

MS Dhoni had said goodbye to international cricket in the year 2020. At the same time, it is now expected that this could be his last IPL season. Dhoni has already made it clear in his statement that he would like to play his last match in IPL in front of the fans of Chennai. However, no official statement has come out from Dhoni’s side regarding this.

Under the leadership of Dhoni, Chennai Super Kings have won the IPL title 4 times. Dhoni has been leading the team since 2008, the first season of IPL. Although, had relinquished the captaincy before the last season, he was again made captain for the rest of the season after Ravindra Jadeja stepped down midway.
