The government is giving free sewing machines to women in the country. The central government implements many schemes to make the women of the country financially capable and self-reliant. The government is trying to empower women in the country. To make women self-reliant, the central government has started the Pradhan Mantri Free Sewing Machine Scheme. Under this scheme, sewing machines are being given free of cost by the government to the women of the country. This scheme of the central government has been prepared for 50,000 women in every state of the country. Under PM Free Sewing Machine Scheme 2022, women are provided sewing machines without any amount. The age of women applying under this scheme should be 20 to 40 years. Women will get a free sewing machine after applying.

PM Free Sewing Machine Scheme 2022 is currently running in some states of the country. These states include Haryana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Women of this state can take advantage of this scheme.

Who is eligible for this scheme

Applicant must be a citizen of India. Only economically weaker women in the country can take advantage of this scheme. The annual income of the husband of the female applicant should not exceed Rs.12,000. Widow and handicapped women can also apply and avail benefits under this scheme.

On the homepage of the website you will find a link to apply for a free sewing supply. Click on the link, take a print out of the PDF of the application and then fill the form. Also necessary documents have to be attached. Then submit the form to the concerned office. Your application will be scrutinized and if all the information given by you is found to be correct then you will be given a sewing machine free of cost.
