In a conversation with ETimes about this, the actor said, “My family was asking me to get married again and I told them to find a match for me. He suggested that I consider settling down with Chandni. I had known her for years, but as my sister’s friend. We felt we would be okay together, so here we are.”
When asked why he kept Chandni’s identity a secret, he said, “I didn’t keep it a secret. There was no need, because after all everyone would know about them. We have introduced her to friends as ‘Mrs. My cousins decided to surprise her and introduced her grandly at the cocktail party.”
Chandni’s simplicity attracted Sachin the most. He said, “She is a lovely person and has a kind heart. He is a genuine person and someone who always stands by you. I am very excited to start a new chapter of life with him. I respect him a lot, especially for his approach towards life. She adds a spark to my life.”
