Directed by Pavan Kriplani, Gaslight reveals that either someone is playing a game with Misha or something sinister is up which only she can see. The psychological thriller also stars Vikrant Massey as his father’s right-hand man Kapil, along with Akshay Oberoi, Shishir Sharma and Rahul Dev. There is a dark and melancholy feel to the film. The trailer also hints that there are several secrets that will be uncovered over the course of the film, especially with titles like Gaslight indicating that someone is being led into something. Last week, the film’s teaser showed the three actors of the film ‘accidentally’ meeting in a lift while on their way to a film meeting. Once they all realize they are there for the same thing, they are trapped inside as the lights are cut. Gaslight will premiere on March 31 on Disney+ Hotstar. The director’s last film was the horror-comedy Bhoot Police, starring Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam. He also has Ae Watan Mere Watan, Murder Mubarak and Metro… In Dino releasing this year. ‘Phobia’ director Pawan Kriplani’s suspense thriller ‘Gaslight’ will release on Disney+Hotstar. The two minute ten second trailer begins with the introduction of Sara’s character Misha, who is called home by her father. Unfortunately, when she gets home he is nowhere to be found. The mystery deepens and we are introduced to various important characters including Vikrant Massey and Chitrangada Singh.
Talking about the film, Sara had earlier said, “Gaslight has been a learning curve for me, the character and story is very different from what I have played before. This film has given me an opportunity to expand my horizon in acting. Introducing the different characters. Shades of Sara for my fans. It is an interesting whodunit and will keep the viewers on the edge of their seats till the very end. Shooting for it has been an exciting journey. Gaslight is also my second association with Disney+Hotstar and I am looking forward to the audience’s reaction after watching it.”
