For those wondering, Dior’s India-inspired Pre-Fall fashion show is taking place at the Gateway of India, Mumbai. Earlier, in the day, Dior’s creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri met the “iconic lady” line and shared a glimpse of the same on her social media space. Sonam Kapoor accessorised with statement gold traditional kundan choker and jhumkas. She added a fusion touch to her look by wearing a potli clutch with jutti style heels and embellishments.
Sharing the pictures, the Ayesha actress wrote, “So excited to welcome Dior to India, to showcase and share our country’s matchless crafts with the world.” Earlier, Sonam shared a picture of the invite on her Instagram stories, and the package included a printed fan, a Lady Dior handbag and a scarf, among other items. “So happy @Dior so happy the house is showcasing the collection in India Mumbai… can’t wait to see what’s in store! Set against the backdrop of the iconic Gateway of India, the French fashion brand celebrates the richness of Indian textiles and the show marks the first official calendar by a leading European luxury brand in India. Apart from Rekha, Sonam and Khushi, many other celebs were present in this event. They included Anushka Sharma along with her husband-cricketer Virat Kohli, Ananya Panday, Mira Rajput, Karisma Kapoor, Shweta Bachchan, Natasha Poonawalla and the Ambanis. Freida Pinto, Simone Ashley, sitarist Anoushka Shankar, Maisie Williams and Thai actors Mile and Apo of Kinn Porsha were also part of the event.
Fans will see Sonam in the upcoming film Blind directed by Shome Makhija. It stars Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak and Lillete Dubey in lead roles. The actor was last seen in a cameo role in 2020’s AK Vs AK, helmed by Vikramaditya Motwane. It also starred Anil Kapoor, Harshvardhan Kapoor and Yogita Bihani in important roles.
