South actor Rana Daggubati’s cousin Ashrita Daggubati recently shared a video with the actor. Ashrita, who lives in Spain, is a food and travel blogger. She is the daughter of Rana’s uncle and veteran actor Venkatesh. In a new video on his YouTube channel, he takes a tour of his ancestral home in Hyderabad, which has now been converted into a posh restaurant with the best interiors.
As he entered his old house, which has been converted into a restaurant, Rana said, “Welcome home. I lived here for 20 years.” Ashrita said this is her first visit after being converted into a restaurant. He recalled the time he spent at home with his family during his college years.
The huge wooden entry gate in the Rana’s house had ancient carvings and after that a lot of trees and plants appeared. The walls inside the main building were painted yellow and adorned with huge paintings belonging to the Rana’s family. Colorful artworks also appeared on the walls when Rana and Ashrita were walking around remembering the different places and rooms of the family members.
The two then ascended a spiral wooden staircase with black railings, one of many design elements retained from the original house. Along with this, framed art and animal-inspired artefacts were used on the wall.
Pointing to his old room, Rana recalled that the first floor of the house was ‘his floor’. Lots of glass doors were seen on the first floor, which has now become a bar. Giving a glimpse of it, Rana said, “This bar is where I used to watch all the movies growing up. this is so amazing.”
Next, he went to his old bedroom, which has now been converted into a restaurant seating area with black chandeliers. In keeping with the brown theme, all the air conditioners were covered. Rana and Ashrita also showed off Rana’s ‘favourite balcony’, which is ‘still a balcony’.
Rana then went to the old house’s lush green exterior, which now houses a ‘pizza venue’ and is dotted with date, coconut and mango trees. Rana looked at the trees and said, “I can’t believe they have grown so big now.” Rana and Ashrita were later joined by the actor’s wife Miheeka Bajaj as they ate some pizzas made by the cousin.
